"Though my husband and I planned a peaceful gentle birth, at home, for our 1st child and though I never imagined our daughter would be born by an emergency cesarean section with me having general anesthetic, nor could I have known how small 1 lb 5 oz really is (her birth weight)....
I do know that I can not imagine going through that whole experience without Elizabeth Rose, as my doula, by my side.
Whether it was holding my hand during frightening emergency room procedures, helping me during contractions (which the monitor could not pick up - therefore the nurses did not believe I was having) , encouraging me during a dreaded injection and getting an IV...to post OP in the recovery room, being by my side when everything was a shock and unexpected, Elizabeth remained steadfast and always was looking for and acting upon ways to physically and emotionally support me and also my husband (who was banned from the operating room).
She also provided amazing postpartum services, making sure I stayed well nourished so I could pump around the clock for my micro-preemie.
I wholeheartedly recommend Elizabeth for her wonderful Doula Services, especially for her knowledge, awareness, support, caring spirit and intuitive ways."
